McCarthy’s News

Mc’Carthy’s Store opened on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at Notre Dame Catholic High School in Carleton Place. We are located on the first floor, Room 136.

We will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. every Thursday. Evening hours by appointment only. Please call the school and leave your name, telephone number and time you would like to come and visit the in-school store. Jacquie, McCarthy’s representative, will contact you and schedule an appointment.

There is a good selection of items, sizes and colours to choose from. Drop in and have a look!

Watch for our “Grand Opening” on Thursday evening, the 12^th of October. Open from 5-8 p.m. Drop in for a visit and enter our FREE draw for a sweater of your choice – no purchase necessary.

Parent/Teacher Interviews

Elementary and Secondary Parent/Teacher interviews, will be held at Notre Dame the evening of October 12^th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. These interviews are not scheduled.

Scholastic Book Fair

Scholastic Book Fair will be at Notre Dame on Thursday, October 12^th from 5-8 p.m. in the front foyer. All proceeds go to purchasing new books for the library. Visa, Master Card, Debit and cheques all accepted. Thank you for your support!

¸Early Dismissal Day

A reminder that Friday, October 27, 2006 will be an early dismissal day. Students will be dismissed at 11:20 on this day and will take their regular buses home.

EBSCO Research Service has created a search interface designed specifically for the students according to their needs and search abilities. Students can easily pre-determine which content sources (e.g. Magazines, Newspapers, Biographies, Country Reports, Film & Video) will be included with their search. They can also search their databases by subject heading, make use of an online dictionary and encyclopedia, explore the top searches of the day, and even limit their search according to appropriate Lexile reading levels.

EBSCO is available to Notre Dame students at the school and also accessible at home.
